Ansaldo Honolulu JV is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Operations & Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment to work on a first of a kind driverless metro system in Honolulu. AHJV is a Hawaiian-based Joint Venture between Ansaldo STS and Ansaldo Breda Inc., which was awarded $1.4 billion Design-Build-Operate-Maintain DBOM) contract for the Honolulu Rail Transit Project (Project), the first Driverless Rail Transit System in the USA. Mission:

Design of Operation and Maintenance project activities in accordance with contractual requirements and handover of the system to the Operator (being part of the Project Team since the beginning of the project to the O&M Mobilization)

Accountabilities:

•Performs wide range of project, program and policy development duties, including conducting detailed issue and data analyses, framing recommendations and options for manager's consideration, developing detailed project and program plans, leading project and program implementation efforts and assessing impacts and results

•Customization of Guidelines for O&M documentation on the basis of Specific Projects

•Analyze field data in order to define for each piece of equipment the maintenance needs, the correct failure rate. Prepare a field analysis report to share with RAMS and Engineering departments

•Coordinate customer design reviews for O&M documentation and participate in internal design reviews, including documentation of minutes and actions

•Preparation, review and creation of O&M Plans such as;

Operation Plans

O&M Guidelines

Maintenance Plan

Training plans

Spare Parts and Special Tools list

Manuals delivered by the subcontractors

•Assists with the identification, assessment and creation of appropriate training and resources to improve and develop the project’s performance, especially in the areas operations and maintenance practices

•Assists with the development and monitoring of corrective actions plans from internal and external departments and conducts detailed statistical analyses and audits on O&M processes

•Manages and coordinates audit issues for the project and coordinates Emergency Preparedness planning activities such as Contingency of Operations Planning and other project programs that affect safety, security and operational efficiency within the project

•Assists in the development, implementation and oversight of project policies, procedures and policy instructions, regulations, goals, long and short -range strategies, and outreach initiatives

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

•Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a large-scale organization is required

•Experience working in or with public or private sector transportation and/or transit organization(s), with emphasis in at least one of the following areas; administrative, operations, maintenance or management process experience

•Demonstrated experience in development and review of business critical process and operations documentation

•Excellent writing, reading comprehension and verbal skills

Desired Skills / Knowledge:

•A transit individual well versed in operational and maintenance needs of a rail line. Thorough understanding of maintenance of way, facilities, systems and operational department needs

Education:

•Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field Languages:

•English- Native Language
