1. Station Mechanic

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus | Start at $33.95/hr ($35.69/hr after 1,000 hrs) | Steady Hourly Pay & Overtime

POSITION SUMMARY & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ready to ditch FLAT RATE pay for good? Get financial peace of mind with steady, reliable weekly paychecks, excellent overtime, and no more unpaid setbacks from rust and dirt.
  • Perform skilled maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on transit buses and related equipment following written instructions.
  • Diagnose problems in electrical circuits, make adjustments or replace electrical components (voltage regulators, relays), and perform wire soldering.
  • Perform adjustments, component replacements, and minor repairs to hoses, brake components, chassis, air/hydraulic components, and steering boxes.
  • Handle component replacements (alternators, fuel pumps, oil pumps, cylinder heads, air conditioning units) and maintain high-precision work standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and no air brake restrictions (training provided) and successful completion of BSDA Mechanic's Training Program (or previously qualified).
