Summary:
Develop and manage a safe and efficient transportation system that supports students in accessing curricular and extracurricular opportunities. Oversee all aspects of fleet operations and student transportation, including employee training, supervision, and fostering positive interpersonal relationships within the team. Administer the department's budget, ensure responsible vehicle procurement, and uphold fiscal accountability. Ensure compliance with district policies and state and federal regulations. Serve as a point of contact for departmental inquiries, addressing concerns from parents, staff, and community members while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree
OR
Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the field of Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Education or other related field.
Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.
Demonstrate a foundational understanding of Title IX, as well as relevant federal and state laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and promoting an equitable and safe environment for both students and employees. This includes knowledge of best practices related to discrimination, harassment, and the rights of students and employees, with a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, fairness, and respect for all individuals.
Preferred:
Minimum of three years experience in: School Transportation
Experience leading operations, transportation, logistics or a related field.
Salary Information:
Salary Range 11: $109.165 - $163,747
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process.
