Hillsborough Transit Authority (HART) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Manager of Bus Transportation.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Manager of Bus Transportation supervises Bus Operators and manages any emergencies, schedule, or service interruption with the vehicle that service 1000 square mile of Hillsborough County. The position monitors and ensures all established operating procedures, work rules, and contractual provision are properly followed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Transportation Planning, Logics, Business Administration, or related discipline.

• Five (5) years of related experience in the Transit industry.

• Three (3) years of leadership experience. Management role in a transit and/or union environment with motivation, support, and development of direct reports is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements. Supervisory experience may not be substituted.

Machines, Tools, & Equipment Used:
Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems, as well as a computer for both data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes. CAD/AVL technology, 2-way radio, Trapeze/PASS employee management, customary office equipment.

Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Florida Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within in 10 days of hire or moving to the State of Florida.
