OmniRide, a public transportation agency located in Prince William County, Virginia, is seeking a professional to fill the position of Strategic Communications Manager.
The Strategic Communications Manager performs a variety of professional work to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity and mission.
This position will develop and implement a communications strategy for the organization that builds and maintains a positive brand. In addition, the position oversees the development and maintenance of organization’s intranet and ensures that all content is current and relevant. The Strategic Communications Manager also oversees communications in various online and print platforms such as SharePoint, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry magazines. They will provide consistent and timely information to employees through various communications programs. The Manager also develops, composes, distributes, and implements polices to enhance the efficiency of the communications department and to further develop the building and maintaining of a positive corporate brand.
Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in English, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field and considerable experience in a communications and marketing department, social media, writing content for press releases, articles, and newsletters, public and community outreach, crisis communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Starting salary range is $65,996- $85,795 depending on experience, plus attractive benefits. Employment subject to background check and fingerprinting. PRTC is a drug-free workplace. EOE.
