GRTC Transit System looking for a dynamic innovator to be responsible for identifying recruitment sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding. This position works closely with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and develop a hiring strategy for each role. Handles the organization’s vacancies and work to fill them by identifying potential employees in the industry. Manages all aspects of the recruitment process including pre-screening, interviews, reference checks, and offers. Maintains community relationships to include attending job fairs and related events to support hiring efforts.

WORK SCHEDULE
The workweek is Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30. This position is exempt from FLSA regulations.

Required Knowledge Ability and Skills

  • Conducts new-hire and benefit orientations.
  • Continuously explores new recruiting sources, job boards, and forums to assist and enhance the recruitment.
  • Maintains updated job descriptions.
  • Develops and produces letters for applicants and candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Actively participates in networking groups and other business and community programs to increase recruitment techniques.
  • Problem-solving mentality, with an ability to think quickly and shift gears in a constantly changing environment.
  • Coordinates updating forms, compiles hiring and orientation packets.
  • Completes special projects as requested.
  • Identifies future hiring needs.
  • Assessing applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions
  • Recruits for and manages apprenticeship program.
  • Provides recruitment reports to team members.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
  • Regularly attends job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Attracts candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Compiles interview questions & conducts in-person and video interviews.
  • Reviews, compiles affidavits for EEO complaints.
  • Answers and responds to telephone and visitor inquiries.
  • Assists employees with completing requests for benefits.
  • Develops and maintains both hard and soft filing systems, to include but not limited to recruitment, personnel, and medical and benefit file.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred with 3-5 years of full cycle experience
  • Prior transit related experience desired.
  • Experience using HRIS systems. ADP experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Highly motivated, results orientated and a team player.
