Our Service Planning team wants you to join their team as a Service Planner to effect real change in the community and how community members interact with us and one another using our various transit services!
As our Service Planner, you will: - Locate and quantify viable transit travel markets using industry-accepted analytical methods.
- Define service alignments and service levels.
- Determine the effectiveness of existing services in meeting the expectations of target markets.
- Evaluate business/consumer practices of key entities (e.g. employers, developers) that could diminish the potential impact of service investment.
- Analyze policies and practices that guide the service development process.
- Assist with project management activities.
- Assist in the administration of the bus stop program within an assigned geographical area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Business, Math or a closely related field required.
- Three years related work in transit planning, such as an Assistant Service Planner.
- Must have a valid Utah driver's license with no more than 4 moving violations in the past three 3 years; cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Intermediate skills in Trapeze reports
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Customer Comment Module; Statistical and database software
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Determine the most efficient distribution of limited resources
- Think analytically, Perform detailed work, Apply new ideas to solve problems
- Work independently or as a team member, and cooperatively with customers and the public, even in controversial situations.
- This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Pay Rate: $59,671.04 or more dependent on experience
