OmniRide, a public transportation agency located in Prince William County, Virginia, is seeking a detail-oriented professional to fill the position of Senior Accountant.

The Senior Accountant performs intermediate technical work and a variety of professional financial accounting activities, including grant accounting, preparing grant billings and reporting, various journal entries, bank and general ledger account reconciliations, fixed assets, special projects, maintain records and files, and other analysis, as required.

This position involves independent financial analysis, report development, and advanced use of financial management systems. This position requires excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently on multiple assignments simultaneously, and in collaboration with colleagues inside and outside the organization. Extensive computer skills required, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Local government or transit experience is preferred.

Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting, finance, business, or related field and at least three years of related experience in accounting, governmental accounting, budget functions, financial analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred upon hire.

Starting salary range is $62,854.19- $81,710.45 depending on experience, plus attractive benefits. Employment subject to background check and fingerprinting. PRTC is a drug-free workplace. EOE.
