This Senior Transportation Design Engineer performs project management and oversees the design of multi-modal transportation infrastructure improvements associated with the Durham County Transit Plan for the City of Durham. The position works closely with Planning Staff, GoTriangle, NCDOT, and other City Departments to design and construct multi-modal improvements to be funded through the Durham County Transit Plan. These improvements may include transit-related infrastructure improvements funded through the Durham County Transit Plan, Bicycle and Pedestrian improvements identified in the Durham Bike+Walk Plan, and other transportation safety and roadway improvements funded through either federal, state, or local funding sources.

As assigned, may serve as the project manager for multiple projects overseeing and managing technical work performed by multiple outside consultants.
