The City of DeKalb is seeking a full-time
Transit Planning & Grants Coordinator to join our team. The Transit Planning & Grants Coordinator performs professional and technical transit planning work focusing on both short- and long-range planning, facilities planning, and special project planning in partnership with the Transit Manager. The Transit Planning & Grants Coordinator will also coordinate work on City programs funded by Federal, State or Local public transit grants. This position promotes best practices, creates policies and procedures, and oversees all State and Federal grant pre- and post- award activities for all public transit grant funded projects.
Willing to train the right person. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in transportation, planning, business, public administration, or closely related field preferred. Continued education or professional development coursework in transportation field and/or grant management strongly desired. Prior experience in transit or transportation planning, public transit operations, transit regulations, transit funding, or a closely related field preferred.
The starting salary for the position is $58,691 +/- commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience.
