First Transit Inc. is looking for experienced General Managers for new business opportunities in the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidate will have proven success in managing transit and/or paratransit operations.

Responsibilities

• Handling all contractual services

• Administrative functions

• Operations

• Information systems

• Ensuring services are provided within budget and work towards continuous improvement of operational efficiencies by analyzing, preparing, and developing budgets and forecasts.

• Maintaining company and contractual assets: vehicles, facilities, inventories, tools, and equipment

• Ensuring compliance of all company procedures and policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulation (EPA, OSHA, DOT, ADA, and EEOC).

• Assessing resource needs, problems, trends and plans accordingly.

• Provide leadership and guidance to develop location and company bench strength by establishing training goals and requirements for all personnel.

• Satisfying client, corporate, and contractual reporting requirements and needs. Provide and promote effective communication with customers.

• Ensuring a safe working environment.

What we would like you to possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred

• Valid driver's license

• 3-5 years of experience managing a paratransit bus service

• Proven record of handling multiple responsibilities
