Wood is currently recruiting Zero Emissions Mobility Leads within the US with extensive experience in the US transit/transportation or EV equipment sector to expand our global Zero Emissions Mobility and fleet energy transition practice. This strategic role will be responsible for leading the development of go-to-market strategies for EV charging infrastructure, low/zero emission fueling systems (hydrogen, renewable natural gas, biofuels) and vehicle fleet conversion planning.

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of transport decarbonisation technologies and options available to various clients, aligned with our Corporate sectors. They will also possess strong client relationships as well as market intelligence to support the collaborative growth and strategic success of this practice. In addition, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of a wide range of strategic transport projects across the US, and will be responsible for effective capture activities. The successful candidate will have an accomplished technical background and provide quality assurance and guidance to junior staff members.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Drive the effective pursuit and acquisition of new zero emission transportation business in line with company strategy and targets
  • Provide oversight ensuring sector initiatives/plans/priorities are aligned with the Group, BUs, Business Group strategies/plans/priorities/directions/roadmaps and that sector inputs are made into the strategic planning process
  • US focal point and leader for all group-wide zero emission transportation initiatives
  • Drive effective business-winning strategies across the company: identification and pursuit/bidding of prospects, and identification of key pursuits, including direct involvement where required
  • Participate in key decision gates: pursue/no pursue, bid/no bid; bid submission
  • Actively lead key reviews, such as prospect reviews, win strategy discussions, bid reviews, red team reviews
  • Drive effective cross-selling across the group, and ensure that the company’s service offering is fully understood and implemented both internally and externally
  • Establish and manage key OKR’s to support the zero emission transportation strategy.
  • Work with Marcomms to promote Wood’s brand in zero emission transportation Market.
  • Be externally focused, maintaining knowledge in the industry and be capable to present Wood projects and capabilities in conference settings.
  • With broad strategic direction, establishes annual business goals and strategies and prepares business plan for assigned location
  • Deliver growth in the areas of responsibility through close collaboration with Operations,
  • Business Development and the North American team. Develop and own business plan, and drive sales, bid and tender activity.
  • In support of continued growth, ensure that the organisation develops responsive, dependable and cost effective services, servicing target markets, collaborating across business units and business groupings, and actively leveraging Wood solutions to address customer needs
  • Foster and enhance customer relationships with open, honest and effective communications.
  • Work with customer-facing teams to improve scope of work/offering, understand and deliver customer required level of services.
  • Oversees proposals and call-offs (may be individual projects) within delegation of authority, ensuring compliance with contracting policy and standards of ethical conduct.

The target market catchment will initially focus on the United States, and will connect to our expanded North American and International opportunities in collaboration with Wood's Smart Cities and Sustainable Infrastructure global thought leaders.
