Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 Annually

The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) has an opening for an Assistant Director of Finance. Responsibilities include Preparing and Analyzing Financial Documents/Reports, Budget Preparation, Accounting Functions and Supervision of Personnel. Support the work of the Finance Department through management duties that include preparation of a variety of financial reports, analysis of financial data, cash management and supervision of staff.

Duties Include

• Prepare financial documents and reports.
• Analyze financial information.
• Budgeting
• Perform Accounting Functions.
• Supervise Cashier's Office.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and Employer Policies and Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Accounting degree or equivalent; or, acombination of education, training and experience may be substituted when demonstration of competency in the position is shown.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principals, knowledge of auditing practice and principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations, experience in accounting computer applications.
• Four to six years of experience in an accounting role with 3 years of supervisory experience in financial systems, budget, financial reporting, financial data analysis and auditing.
• Must be proficient in Excel and G/L software knowledge.
• Must have organizational, analytical, spreadsheet and well-developed communications skills.
• Payroll and statistical experience preferred.
• Able to maintain the confidentiality of any information she/he encounters.
• Successful performance of pre-employment tests required.
