Wilsonville's Transit department, SMART, is seeking an innovative and results oriented professional with strong grants and financial management experience to provide advanced analytical support with planning, developing, analyzing, and performing complex projects associated with grant management of federal, state and local funds.

The Grants & Program Manager is and excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to supporting programs that improve access for the general public and business to transportation choices; encourage economic development and reduce traffic on Wilsonville streets; and increase communications to the general public, businesses, and community decision makers on alternative transportation choices.

This position blends components of program management with the main responsibility of communicating and collaborating closely with other divisions and departments to coordinate grant writing, compliance monitoring, financial management, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will be an organized, analytical, and strategic thinker who will identify grant opportunities and match them to SMART's needs. He or she will also be a collaborative self-starter with attention to detail and excellent communication skills to represent SMART with grant makers, while simultaneously enjoying developing new systems and processes with professionals in a collaborative group dynamic.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in transportation, planning, business administration, or a related field and five years of experience in public transit with progressively responsible supervisory and management responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and specifically the Transit Award Management System (TrAMS) is a plus!
