RATP Dev USA manages and operates transit systems throughout the United State with a focus on fixed route, paratransit, and streetcar operations in urban and rural areas. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, and requires regular travel to field locations.

Position Overview:
The Director of Standards and Quality is responsible for developing and managing the company’s Health Check Review. The Health Check Review will be designed to ensure that our systems are complying with their contractual obligations, federal/state regulations as well as our own internal policies and procedures. This review will focus on each system’s business processes to confirm that they are being followed consistently throughout the different departments within their organization. Proper administration of the business processes will result in consistency, reliability, and accuracy of statistical and financial data.

The Health Check Review will consist of an audit of the system’s different departments. Questions will be asked of each department regarding their business processes as well as the results of these business processes. Through this process best practices, that can serve as company standards, and deficiencies will be identified. The audit process will be completed using the Coruson software. This will allow documentation of the audit and tracking of the follow up needed to correct any deficiencies that were identified. The focus of this effort will be to provide our managers with a continuous improvement tool.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop health check document to be used for auditing process

  • Reviews pertinent documents necessary to determine if an audit trail exists for all records and systems.

  • Conduct planned and random audits of business processes.

  • Identify best practices for company standards

  • Provide guidance on correcting deficiencies identified through health check Competencies

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in related field, preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years previous public transit experience in a leadership role focused on process improvement with subject matter expertise in operations, maintenance, or safety.

  • Ability to work with many cross-functional internal and external partners.

  • Collaborative problem-solving skills and a natural investigative mind set.

  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining a results-driven approach.

  • Unquestionable integrity and the ability to handle sensitive issues.
