Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will lead our technical innovation initiatives, based at our USA headquarters in Fort Worth, TX.

Position Overview:
The Technical Product Innovation Manager will provide support to product lines and agency networks. This role executes tactical steps in new product launch activities, conducts market analysis and provides support for the successful completion of established portfolio growth drivers. This position will also serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for assigned deployments, occasionally working with the business development team and key customers to promote RATP Dev NA product solutions. Finally, this position will also be responsible for the maintenance and development of the WePilot in-house KPI monitoring tool and provides some business analysis in regard the operational performance of all RATP Dev USA based on the data collected.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovation consultant for current US portfolio networks, RFPs and partner programs. Providing consultative observations for innovative offerings to include into all of our general proposals for RFPs.

  • Conduct market, technology, and competitive assessments.

  • Assist with establishing product vision: defining the product roadmap, and what additional products or product enhancements are needed.

  • Innovation consultant for current NA portfolio networks, RFPs and partner programs. Providing consultative observations and tailor-made proposals for innovative offerings to be incorporated into all of our general proposals for RFPs.

  • Ability to examine data collected from transportation networks to provide strategic opportunities for on time performance enhancements. Utilization of mapping tools to provide route customization.

  • Project manager for innovative pilot projects with homegrown products (e.g. ChronoZone).

  • Lead/mentor for junior Product Managers, when required.

  • Coordinate product launches and recommend marketing materials and assist with their development.

  • Create product forecasts and key predictive indicators.

  • Assist in the development of appropriate training materials for product enablement.

  • Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related technical/business field.

  • 5 + years of combined Engineering, Marketing, Operations or Product Management related experience associated with new product development and introduction.

  • Transportation or Urban Planning experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Must possess strong communication skills – verbal, written, presentation

  • Must have the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with partners/clients that lead to the sale of assigned products

  • Must have the ability to organize and manage “ad-hoc” teams to support the development of business opportunities

  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists

  • Must have the ability to work in a high paced, diverse work environment; and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Strong mathematically, analytical and computer skills

  • Knowledge of product design capabilities, and commercial manufacturing processes and operations
