Summary of Job:
Under the direct supervision of the Connexion Manager, the Transportation Analyst is responsible for generating and analyzing various reports on ridership, revenue, and performance for the paratransit service.

Essential Job Functions:

• In collaboration with staff, develops and implements strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Compiles and analyzes performance data. Regularly reviews data for efficiency and operational performance. Makes recommendations as necessary
• Analyzes and resolves issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data as well as developing plans, policies, and budgets for decreasing costs and improving services
• Performs, upon request, ad hoc reporting from Trapeze, AVL and other data sources utilizing Crystal Reports, Excel and Access
• Acts as liaison between the end users of Trapeze products and Trapeze customer support and account management
• Administration of Trapeze PASS, CERT and FLEX scheduling software including maintenance of ancillary data fields, data clean-up and parameter settings and User Security
• Schedules and coordinates with Trapeze Software Group and JTA IT for software upgrades, map upgrades and data archiving Performs testing of Trapeze software prior to installation in production
• Provide training and support to Trapeze PASS, CERT, FLEX and Trapeze Report end users
• Prepares written reports, correspondence, complex reports, contract and specification documents and schedules and statistical data at the direction of the Superintendent of Paratransit
• Maintains records and documents required for the JTA to meet State and Federal requirements to operate as the provider of ADA Transportation Services (NTD, AOR, LCB, etc)
• Compiles and analyzes operational data to prepare statistical reports for daily, weekly, monthly and annual submission
• Responsible for documenting vehicle inventory and vehicle mileage
• Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data
• Establish and enforce data entry protocols to include standardization of data entry
• Perform data entry when needed or required
• Other duties as assigned

Compliance:
Responsible for completing all mandatory training classes.

Responsible for reviewing and complying with all JTA policies, procedures and directives.

Required / Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Business/Public Administration, Statistics or a closely related field and a minimum of three years’ field related experience. An equivalent combination of related training and experience may substitute for the degree. Must be familiar with Federal Transit Administration National Transit Database and FDOT reporting requirements. Three or more years experience in paratransit operations is preferred. Knowledge and experience with Trapeze PASS, Trapeze Reports and Trapeze CERT is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a variety of software applications such as spreadsheets (preferably Microsoft Excel), database (preferably Microsoft Access and SQL), report writing (preferably Crystal Reports) and word processing (preferably Microsoft Word).
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Trapeze PASS, Trapeze Reports and Trapeze CERT
• Broad understanding of paratransit operations.
• Knowledge of the First Coast metropolitan area and street network.
• Ability to explain quantitative and qualitative analysis in an understandable manner.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations accordingly.
• Ability to interact in a team environment.
• Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills.
