Transportation Concepts is seeking a Director of Maintenance to oversee its fleet maintenance and facilities requirements at several operating locations throughout California.

Job Responsibilities: The Director of Maintenance has direct responsibility for overseeing the fleet maintenance and facilities functions for the company to insure contractual, regulatory, and internal policy compliance. Duties include direct oversight of maintenance activities and practices at operating locations including facility and environmental compliance, assisting Site Maintenance Managers with recruitment and training of maintenance personnel, assisting both Director of Operations and COO with development of maintenance pricing in conjunction with budget and new business development activities, and providing direct input on revisions and updates of the company’s maintenance policies.

Requirements: • Should have 10 years of progressively responsible public transit fleet maintenance management success • Must be knowledgeable in the areas of gasoline and alternative fuel medium and heavy duty transit vehicles. Experience with Electric transit buses (ZEB) a plus. • Proficient with state and federal fleet maintenance regulations and requirements related to the public transit industry. • Must also be experienced in and knowledgeable of state and federal environmental regulations and requirements affecting public transit operating facilities. • Experience with the application of fleet maintenance software. • ASE Certifications for truck/transit preferred.

Location: Position will be based from either the Los Angeles or Riverside County area.

Salary: Salary level will be dependent upon candidate’s experience and qualifications.
