This position will provide comprehensive electrical and mechanical support for our growing electric bus fleet. You will be responsible for retrofit campaign completions, team support, troubleshooting, repair, operations interaction and general support of Proterra’s fleet of all electric transit buses and associated charging equipment. In the event that electric buses are not in need of attention you will be required to address any other maintenance concerns that assigned to you by supervisory and or management staff.

Skills

• 2+ years’ experience of directly related work, including 1 year working on Proterra high voltage battery systems
• High School diploma or equivalent
• General knowledge of bus, automotive and/or vehicle systems
• Hands on experience in electrical, mechanical or other related field service experience; experience with electrical, high voltage and mechanical troubleshooting
• Intermediate level computer skills (including MS applications)
• Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to influence at all levels of the organization and with external customers
• Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and act with complete integrity
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent and able to operate independently with limited supervision
• (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner)
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Sound judgement; Good problem-solving and analytical skills (troubleshoot technical issues, communicate and document solutions to non-technical parties)
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience interacting and communicating with customers
• Work safely with electricity using proper PPE
• Experience with CAN networks
• Work with multiple parties for issue resolution
• Aptitude to learn and stay current with new technologies as they are introduced
• Willing to share knowledge to help others better understand electric vehicles and chargers within the company

Knowledge and Experience

• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot and service electrical buses and chargers
• Maintain detailed and timely paperwork and documentation for repairs and installations
• Strict adherence to Keolis and client policies and procedures
• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service MUX systems
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
