The City and County of Honolulu is seeking an experienced Rolling Stock Compliance Officer, for the nation's first driverless metro system.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for overseeing the administration of rail vehicle equipment maintenance, rehabilitation, and warranty programs to achieve established availability and service levels; overseeing contractor personnel responsible for rail vehicle maintenance including predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with rail vehicle maintenance training programs, standards, and recommended practices, including regulatory and statutory requirements; quality assurance measures and support necessary to monitor, review and analyze the performance of the operations and maintenance services contractor to ensure a safe, reliable, and customer driven rail service.
REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty and five years of experience performing engineering work involving rail vehicles and systems as a primary function, three of which must have included working in a rail operations and maintenance environment.
