About the Senior Manager, Training & Professional Development Role:
The Senior Manager, Training & Professional Development, serves in the department of Professional Development Programs (PDP) and reports to the Director of Professional Development Programs. The incumbent works with all Eno staff but especially with the PDP Director, Program and Events Manager, and external training partners to ensure expert-level service delivery to members, customers, and learners. S/he employs all phases of the standard ADDIE instructional design model to design, develop and implement a variety of learning solutions. The key priorities of the Senior Manager are the oversight, management, and strategic execution of Eno’s talent and educational portfolio to include all leadership and professional development programs.

The incumbent will be expected to inform decisions at a high level and expertly manage the professional development programs. The Senior Manager is highly skilled in project management and will serve as the lead staff person in delivering full support to Eno’s participants, members and partners. S/he will be expected to directly interface with subject matter experts, both internal and external, to identify and resolve performance gaps and provide counsel to achieve the most effective learning solution(s). The Senior Manager supports the department’s mission to develop strategies and processes which support Eno’s objectives in learning, upskilling, and development of leadership and high-potential learning content.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Note: This position requires 35% travel.

75%: Program Management

Project Planning and Assessment
  • Develop and manage multiple project workplans and coordinate staff involvement and support

  • Serve as on-site facilitator/consultant to members during program weeks
Financial Management
  • Create and track multiple program budgets

  • Manage budgets and resource planning for the leadership programs
Learning Content Management
  • Manage learning and development contractors

  • Manage guest speaker administration including invitation, orientation, and follow-up

  • Manage and maintain performance databases and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with members
Logistics
  • Manage program and event logistics from start to finish

  • Oversight of venue procurement, negotiation and program coordination

  • Update program websites, as necessary
Program Administration
  • Manage application, enrollment and related administrative processes for training programs and leadership events

  • Maintain, track, and report program metrics on performance, diversity/inclusion, etc.

20% Training and Development

Coaching
  • Manage and engage in coaching relationships with all participants, as applicable

  • Lead, conduct, and analyze 360° assessment process which includes providing information and individual coaching to program participants, as applicable

  • Develop and deliver pre- and post-course webinars
Instructional Design and Course Management
  • Conduct needs analysis, design/develop assigned e-learning and ILT courses using Adobe Articulate or Captivate

  • Oversee, review and update course materials to ensure relevance and currency

  • Develop testing, evaluation, and survey methods/procedures

  • Conduct Train-the-trainer (T-3) in techniques and skills for effective training delivery

5% Alumni Engagement
  • Expand and engage the alumni network to include via website and social media content development

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Experience in adult learning theory and methodology

  • Knowledge of organizational and workforce development

  • Skilled in Instructional Design (ISD)

  • Extensive work experience with a learning management system (LMS)

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Change Management and strong communication skills

  • Advanced Project Management Skills

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, organizational development or related field required

  • Master’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent combined education and work experience

Preferred Certifications:
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or ability to acquire within 12 months of employment

  • Instructional Design training or certification

  • Project management training and experience required; certification preferred
