This is a new key leadership role responsible for leading the Office of Performance Management and Innovation with a constant focus on identifying and supporting innovative mobility solutions consistent with short- and long-term strategic planning. This position is responsible for initiating new, experimental ideas and policies to promote innovation and creative problem solving. By overseeing Capital Metro’s long-term Strategic Plan will provide a holistic vision of Capital Metro’s future. This individual will serve as the link between short term strategic planning, performance dashboard management and how potential innovation may create new opportunities for Capital Metro to serve our community. This role will provide leadership and vision for Capital Metro’s customer solutions, based on customer engagement and personal use experiences, industry and non-industry research and bold creative thoughts about the future of urban mobility. This position is focused on continuous improvement and encouraging calculated risk to effectuate positive benefits for our current and future customers. Must have a passion for the role public transit plays in creating sustainable, healthy and equitable communities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, urban planning, engineering, communications, or a closely related field. (Advanced degree is desirable). Relevant experience may substitute on a year for year basis for educational requirements.

• Seven (7) years of full-time professional transportation, transit/urban planning, communications, engineering, technology or start-up activity in mobility or government;

• Experience in advanced planning and project management with the ability to effectively manage many diverse projects; prefer experience coordinating cross functional teams.

SALARY RANGE: SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
