About LOSSAN:
The Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency (Agency) is a joint powers authority that works to increase ridership, revenue, reliability, coordination and safety on the coastal rail line between San Diego, Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo. The LOSSAN Agency assumed management responsibility for the Pacific Surfliner rail service in July 2015, following the execution of an interagency transfer agreement with the state of California. The Pacific Surfliner train travels along a 351-mile coastal rail route through San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, serving 27 stations. It is the busiest state-supported intercity passenger rail route in the United States with 24 daily trains and annual ridership of nearly 3 million. The LOSSAN Agency is staffed by the Orange County Transportation Authority.
Overview:
Directs, oversees, evaluates, leads and manages the Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency (Agency), establishing objectives, strategic plans, and policies subject to approval of the Board of Directors. The incumbent is directly accountable to the Board of Directors and the Orange County Transportation Authority Chief Executive Officer for implementation and fulfillment of the agency goals and objectives. Establishes relationships and represents agency's interests with the California State Transportation Agency, government officials and agencies, financial communities, and the public.
The starting salary will be based on qualifications.
