SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Incumbent will lead multiple teams that oversee quality assurance, internal audit, train data functions (TOQA), and efficiency testing system (SPARTN). Responsibilities include ensuring Amtrak’s operational and environmental internal audit teams are trained and perform their duties in accordance with Amtrak policies and procedures. The position requires experience in coordinating with federal and state regulators to ensure all required reporting and coordination is in compliance with standards. Responsible for coordinating strategic effort in integrating train data; to include positive train control (PTC) data and other onboard train systems to capture and analyze for compliance to standards. Incumbent will oversee the efficiency testing system team and the system of record (SPARTN) to ensure proper reporting and analysis as directed and required.

MININUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in management or related field

  • 10-years experience in a transportation regulatory environment

  • 5-years experience working with a safety management system (SMS)

  • Experience working with federal regulators on compliance and safety issues

  • Strong writing, briefing, and presentation skills

  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in quality assurance, audit, and safety

  • Experience in data analysis

  • 5-10 years managing in a division level environment

  • Able to travel 25% of the time


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • System safety and analysis experience

  • Transportation experience at a management level

  • Responsible for data analysis of TOQA/FOQA or other data reporting functions
