Director of Transportation and Mobility Annual salary range: $115,000 to $170,000 DOQ Application deadline: Friday, June 21, 2019 The City of Boulder, internationally renowned for its commitment to sustainability, is seeking an innovative and agile leader to serve as the City’s Director of Transportation and Mobility. This is a unique opportunity for a strong leader with a broad transportation background who thrives in a diverse and progressive environment.
The Director of Transportation and Mobility is responsible for leading, planning, and directing the activities of Boulder’s municipal mobility system, including planning and operations, project management, transportation maintenance, and airport operations. The Transportation Director leads a team of 75 employees and manages a budget of over $30 million.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of progressively responsible experience as a senior manager in a complex organization with thorough knowledge of innovative, sound, local government transportation experience that included transportation planning, project management, operations and maintenance. A Master’s degree and experience in a public transportation organization is preferred.
