Ride Right LLC is a rapidly growing service provider of paratransit and fixed route services for transit authorities, municipalities, and other clients across the country. Ride Right is currently recruiting for an experienced Safety and Training Manager servicing the Capital Metro Access project of the greater Austin, TX area.

The Safety and Training Manager is a key leadership role responsible for implementing paratransit safety and training programs as defined by the Director of Safety Administration. The Safety and Training Manager will ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as corporate and client (Capital Metro Access) guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a consistent safety culture that incorporate operations, safety, maintenance department

  • Oversee Corporate Safety Incentives and programs managed effectively and consistently, including assignment of Safety Points

  • Deliver proper classroom, behind the wheel and mobility management tranining according to Corporate, Director of Safety Administration and Client specifications

  • Emphasizes the team approach and individual responsibility of all employees to achieve common safety goals and training requirements

  • Ensures all new hires meet minimum general qualifications for each division including, background and DMV checks

  • Update all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet the needs of the operating divisions

  • Successful complete all related audits including those conducted by corporate, client, staff, state and federal regulatory agencies

  • Reviews reporting of all vehicular, passenger and employee accidents/incidents for determination of cause and preventability, identifying potential trends to be addressed in future training efforts

  • Provides functional expertise in safety regarding hiring of safety department exempt employees

  • Collaborate with onsite General Manager and Operations Manager to deliver comprehensive safety meetings and plans

  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of transit/ paratransit safety management experience Preferred

  • Knowledge of all applicable safety rules, regulations - FTA and DOT to include all corporate programs

  • Certifications according to contract requirements

  • Familiar with windows-based computer operating systems and Microsoft Office packages

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
