Transpo is looking for a dynamic Director of Marketing to join the Executive Leadership Team. This key position is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing marketing strategy and achieving marketing targets.

Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning including ridership reporting and analysis; promotion and advertising; stakeholder and community outreach; media and public relations; customer service.

The following is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this position.
  • Responsible for the strategic development of marketing and business development initiatives and overall management of the marketing department, including all communication and customer service initiatives

  • Assists with organizational growth and development including leveraging new technologies, innovations and partnerships

  • Participates in local, state and federal legislative initiatives

  • Oversees the development and production of all promotional and printed materials

  • Responsible for all internal and external communications including website, social media, employee communications, public and media relations

  • Plans and coordinates internal and external special events and promotions, including community outreach initiatives to increase ridership

  • Responsible for all customer service initiatives

  • Supervises Marketing Manager, Information Booth Specialists and Customer Service Representative

  • Responsible for Transit Advertising Program and serves as point of contact for third party advertising partner

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field

  • Minimum of three to five years supervisory / management experience

  • Proven leadership experience in marketing or a related field

  • Exceptional communication, time management, quantitative and analytical skills

  • Strong presentation skills with a persuasive nature

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and other software

  • Familiarity with public transit systems and/or public agencies is essential
