BASIC FUNCTION Directs and manages all training activities for Bus and Bus Maintenance. This includes bargaining unit and non-union employees. Accountable for determining and establishing training policies, procedures and programs to prevent and/or reduce personal injuries and illnesses to passengers and employees and to protect and/or reduce accidental damage to vehicles, equipment and facilities. Develops,implements and administers a comprehensive and cohesive systems Training Program. Acts as agency liaison with APTA, and regulatory agencies on safety and training issues. Performs duties in a safe,efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Education Requirement (Diploma/Degrees must be from accredited institutions):
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum ten (10) years of progressively increasing experience in transit, safety/training programs, management, budgeting,planning, communications, and human resources and development including five (5) years in a supervisory/management capacity.
Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and the general public.
