Job Purpose
To identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.

  2. Identify problem locations and/or processes within the client’s system, develop and implement action plans to resolve such issues in coordination with the client’s subject matter experts.

  3. Support the client in the effective implementation of improvement programmes, projects and initiatives.

  4. Prepare business cases for improvement initiatives that are supported by robust analysis.

  5. Produce and implement plans for improvement initiatives that include training, briefing and support documentation.

  6. Measure and report on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

  7. Identify and share areas of best practice within the delivery units to improve business performance in a consistent manner.


Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential
  • Experience in rail/transit maintenance management, processes and techniques

  • Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes

  • Detailed knowledge of an engineering discipline

  • Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures

  • Knowledge of operational railway environment

  • Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills


Desirable
  • Membership of professional body

  • Professional Engineer

  • Formal problem solving training (KT, 8D, 5Y or similar)
