KL2 Connects LLC has been retained by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to recruit an experienced professional who will assume responsibility for its IT infrastructure. DART serves Dallas and twelve surrounding cities with bus, light rail, and paratransit services, and in partnership with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority owns and operates the Trinity Rail Express commuter rail service.
Reporting to the CIO, the winning candidate will lead DART’s data center and corporate infrastructure (including its process control network and IT operations); coordinate with Security and Enterprise Architecture resources to ensure that quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved; and, as a member of DART’s Technology Leadership Team, sponsor the development of strategies that align with DART’s greater business strategy.
This Director-equivalent position requires a diverse technical infrastructure background; a strategic and visionary IT management orientation; demonstrated project, vendor, and budget management skills; a customer-focused approach to infrastructure engineering; leadership and team building skills; extraordinary communications and people skills; a Bachelor’s from an accredited college (Computer Science, IT, or a related field); ten+ years of senior management level technical operations and architecture experience; and five+ years of experience supervising applications systems staff.
