Hiring Salary Range: $46,562 - $62,043 Annually

Full Salary Range: $46,532 - $77,554 Annually

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) “Subject to change per State orders surrounding COVID-19 protocol"

Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
This position serves as the subject matter expert on transit services sponsored by the City and provided by the Greensboro Transit Agency (GTA). Specifically, this position is responsible for analytical work in the planning, implementation modification and monitoring of GTA's transit services to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. This position collects and analyzes system-wide operating performance data to summarize, interpret and visualize results and make recommendations that align with Federal, State, and local compliance standards, rules and regulations. This position supports the development of transit projects and programs for the Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Plan (MTIP), and the State Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP). The position works with GDOT, City, State, Federal and US Census data relating to fixed route and paratransit operations to conduct detailed transit planning work required to support GTA's operations and future growth, allowing the transit system to become fully integrated into the overall essential infrastructure of the City. This includes the development and reporting of targeted performance measures. The person in this position must have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and in a team environment; ability to organize and manage projects to completion, including team projects; ability to research, compile, and present information to technical and policy boards and general audiences. Must have strong research, writing, and public speaking skills.

This job is Exempt and is not subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree with 4 or more years’ of experience with transit planning

Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
