The City and County of Honolulu is seeking an experienced rail Operations Compliance Officer, for the nation's first driverless urban rail system.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position oversees the administration of the rail operations center and train operation performance; responsible for the achievement of established availability and service levels; overseeing Contractor personnel responsible for safe station operations, train operations, and power distribution on the rail network which includes entering, removing and diverting trains to support availability schedules; ensuring compliance with train operation policies, rules, procedures, work instructions, regulatory, and statutory requirements; quality assurance measures and support necessary to monitor, review and analyze the performance of the operations and maintenance services Contractor, with regard to operations, to ensure a safe, reliable, and customer driven rail service.

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in transportation or an engineering specialty and five years of experience performing transportation work as a primary function, three of which must have included working in a rail operations and maintenance environment.
