Storer Transit Systems is seeking a specialized Operations Manager to lead our high-profile, intercity commuter routes operating throughout the Yosemite National Park region. This role requires a leader experienced in scaling seasonal operations, managing motorcoach fleets in extreme mountainous environments, and coordinating with elite stakeholders.
Compensation: $113,000 - $120,000 (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Seasonal Service Scaling: Masterfully execute rapid operational scaling between peak summer and reduced winter schedules across multiple highway corridors (Hwy 140, 120, 395, and 41).
- Mountain Operations & Safety: Enforce rigorous safety and pre-trip protocols tailored for mountainous terrain, inclement weather, and long-distance highway operations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a key operational contact for highly visible partners, including the National Park Service, Caltrans, and regional transit agencies.
- Fleet & Asset Deployment: Ensure strict compliance with fleet allocation requirements, managing the deployment of both agency-owned and contractor-provided motorcoaches to ensure high-capacity tourist and commuter needs are met.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and execute dynamic detour and contingency plans in response to natural disasters, road closures, or National Park traffic conditions.
