Transdev Services, Inc. doing business as Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE Bus) is soliciting quotation from responsible firms to deliver four (4) each high lift wheel dolly(s), 52” lifting height, powered air operation and four (4) each wheel dolly drum adapters for high lift wheel dolly(s). This tool will be used for removing and installing either single or dual wheels on a raised bus and to load wheels onto the wheel dolly by strapping around the wheels to secure them properly and maneuver dolly into alignment with the bus axle. The drum adapter will be used to transport brake drums.

Delivery shall be completed within one (1) month from date set in the resulting contract. A contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive and responsible offeror and prices shall remain firm throughout the contract term. There is no DBE Participation Goal for this procurement, nonetheless, Small, Minority, and Disadvantaged Businesses are encouraged to participate.

All Offeror’s questions including clarifications regarding this RFQ are due by close of business on Wednesday May 24, 2017.

Quotations must be received before 5:00 P.M EST on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 by NICE Bus at 700 Commercial Avenue, Garden City, New York 11530. Please reference RFQ number V1707 – Wheel Dolly in the email subject line and on all correspondence.

Funding support for this project is provided through a financial grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). In accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 26, participation Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) in all aspects of this federally funded contract will be encouraged and supported.

Offerors are encouraged to utilize the services of minority and DBE-owned banks, and other financial institutions, when such institutions are available. Information about such institutions owned and controlled by economically and socially disadvantaged individuals can be requested from the Project Director, Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs, at One West Street, First Floor, Mineola, NY 11501 offices.
