As our Manager of Service Performance, you will be responsible for directing all technical analysis of transportation and maintenance operational data. You will lead and develop a team of analysts to study all areas of transit operations, with heavy focus on operations scheduling, planning, and delivery of service to our customers in order to improve their satisfaction across the region. Using your analytical skills, you will work on special project requests from the FTA, collaborate with other agencies across the globe, and maintain a deep understand of dashboards and KPI monitoring. In this position, you are a key stakeholder able to tell TriMet’s story through data, and this position is mission critical to ensuring our Agency remains a national leader in transit.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators that align with TriMet Strategic Business Plan.
  • Lead the professional development of the Operations Analysis team in technical advances in statistical and database analysis and electronic data collection through education, performance management, professional groups, and associations.
  • Direct all technical analysis of transit operations and maintenance data collection, reporting, forecasting and evaluation.
  • Manage and train staff of the Operations Analysis unit in operational and performance analysis of transit transportation and maintenance functions.
  • Develop transit operations analysis methods which ensure accurate, consistent, replicable information for transit operational, planning, and financial decisions.
  • Develop performance reports for Transportation and Maintenance Divisions.
  • Produce ad hoc analysis for all departments within the Agency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Engineering, Systems Analysis, Public Administration or related field.
  • 10 years progressively responsible experience in transportation operations or planning, with at least six years with a multi-modal transit agency.
  • At least three years of experience in mass transit operations analysis, performance measurement, statistics, process, and organizational improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using database software or other applications and languages including SQL, R, SAS, Python, and HTML.
  • Master’s degree in Transportation, Engineering, Systems Analysis, Public Administration related field.
  • Experience with Project Management.
  • Or any combination of training and experience.
